The Technology Support Professional program offered by BCIT's High-Tech Professional Programs department is a 40-week full-time program designed to prepare students for entry-level Technology support positions in the information technology industry.
It is an ideal program for individuals with no previous background or education in computing and those who need to retrain or upgrade their present computer skills.
The TSP program focuses on help desk/call center support, network administration and troubleshooting; it combines Technology and professional courses with hands - on learning. Formal classroom instruction is complemented by realistic business projects.
This program has three components: 24 weeks of highly intensive formal classroom instruction/labs, allowed by eight weeks in a work term and an additional eight weeks of structured self-study to complete vendor certification exams.
Students graduate with an Industry Partnership Certificate from BCIT, working experience in tech support, and relevant industry certifications.
